What To Expect

We know that it can be daunting visiting a church for the first time. Here's what you can expect when you visit Vintage Pasadena on a Sunday:

Coffee Filter Paper

Welcome

Each week we serve coffee and donuts in the lobby before the service. This is a chance to meet people and to say hi and connect with one another. We also have a welcome team who will welcome you to church and answer any questions you might have

worship service

Worship

Our services start with a time of sung worship, and we normally sing 3-4 songs. After the sermon we will usually sing a response song as we close the service. We sing a mix of modern worship songs, along with some hymns and older songs. You can see our current song list here.

church fellowship

Liturgy

As part of worship we use some informal liturgy, including saying 'The Peace' which is an opportunity to greet one another after the sung worship. We also pray a blessing at the end of each service. The words are on the screen for you to follow along with.

woman preaching

Preaching

We prioritize the word of God, and every week a member of our leadership team will preach a biblical message. Our sermons are approximately 30-35mins long and we cover a range of different topics and books of the bible throughout the year. You can hear some of our previous sermons here.

people praying

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer, and we have a prayer team available to pray with you at the end of every service. After the sermon, our team will be available at the front of the church. The team is trained and will never share any of your information with anyone else.

communion cup

Communion

We normally celebrate communion on the third Sunday of each month, (subject to schedule changes). We have non-alcoholic wine and gluten free bread options available for those who prefer. You can also choose to simply receive a blessing, or remain in your seat during communion.
