Come and join us on Sunday for VKids!

VKids is Vintage's Children's Ministry for children ages 0 - 5th Grade. Kids start off in the main service with parents for the first part of worship. After they have been prayed for, they go out to their classrooms on the 1/F.

At the 9am service, kids split up into different age groups. At the 11am service the kids stay altogether for a "VBS" style combined group of all ages.

Nursery

0-2 Year Olds

Our Nursery room is for children aged 0-2. They will be looked after by our trained and cleared VKids team. Our hope is you feel comfortable leaving your little ones with us so you can enjoy the main service. You are welcome to stay with your little one for the first time, if you prefer. The children hear a bible story, sing together and are offered an apple sauce

Preschool

3-5 Year Olds

Our VKids Preschool group is for children aged 3 - 5, including TK. They will be looked after by our trained and cleared VKids team. The children start in the service for worship and then head upstairs for some some free play, followed by a bible story, snack, craft and prayer.

Elementary

K-5th Grade

Our VKids Elementary group meets during the service. They start with sharing highs and lows, a game, bible story and short interactive talk followed by time in huddle groups where they can ask questions, share prayer requests and do an activity together. A prepackaged snack and drink is offered during the session.

Laura grew up in the UK and holds a degree in Early Childhood Studies from Plymouth University in the UK, and professional qualifications from Cliff College in Child Evangelism and Nurture. She is passionate about equipping families to live the journey of faith at home as well as church. She’s also passionate about Biblically equipping children to become leaders in ministry.

John Riding

John is a clinical psychology doctoral candidate with a passion for fostering children's mental health and nurturing their identity in Christ. His dedication to helping young minds thrive is evident in his studies and future clinical work. When not immersed in his studies, John enjoys board games, road trips, spending time with his wife, and bothering his two cats.

VKids Volunteers

Our VKids volunteers are committed to creating a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their faith. Each volunteer goes through a thorough onboarding process that includes being Live Scanned and background checked to ensure the highest level of safety for the kids and families we serve.

Because safety, consistency, and intentional care are so important to us, all VKids volunteers are required to complete training before serving. Our next mandatory VKids Volunteer Training is on Sunday, September 7th, just in time for the start of our new ministry year this fall. Whether you're new to VKids or returning for another year, this training will equip you with the tools, support, and confidence you need to serve well. Click below for more info or to sign up!

Safeguarding & Covid Guidelines

The Church has a God-given responsibility to nurture and protect His people, especially those who are most vulnerable and in need of protection. Thus, caring for our children and youth is a sacred trust. As a church we take safeguarding seriously and have a five-step protection program which come from our Diocese (C4SO). This program helps us create a positive and healthily environment for children and students. It is consists of;

All VKids team and staff are background checked and clearer, trained, and active members of Vintage Church Pasadena. If you have any questions, please contact Laura Chase and you can access of Youth and Kids handbook and policies here.

In line with current guidelines by Pasadena Department of Health face masks are now optional irrespective of vaccination status. Hand sanitization stations will remain set up through the building. All children will be offered hand sanitizer before eating a snack. If you have any COVID related symptoms we ask that you stay home and access our live stream.
